I graduated from Warren High School in 1984. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stephen F. Austin State University with a double major in English and history and a Master of Education in Counseling and Development from Lamar University..

I am beginning my 26th year in education in 2015. I taught for 12 years and then became a school counselor. I was the Warren Junior High School counselor for ten years and moved to Warren High School in 2012.
I have been married for 28 years to Kyle Spivey. Kyle is the principal at Corrigan-Camden High School. We have three children, Jacob, Jordan, and Julie. Jacob is the Agricultural Extension agent for Tyler County and is married to Melanie Watkins Spivey who is a teacher at Chester ISD. Jordan is beginning her senior year at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Julie is a sophomore agricultural development major at Stephen F. Austin State University. My husband, my children, and I are all graduates of Warren High School.
When I am not at school, I enjoy traveling. My family and I love to visit Disney World. Jacob and Melanie had a Disney wedding last summer. I also enjoy reading, playing the piano, and spending time with my family. I like to watch my nieces and nephews play sports and I love the Dallas Cowboys.
